Regret

i wish I was that
i wish I could hear myself change
i can't live this life without regret
if i did that means i did everything right
and that means i never lived
i needed to make mistakes
i need to be wrong
i needed to say i cried
i need to wish i could fly
i need these regrets
because without them i have no redemption
which is the sweetest thing i can hear
and it comes in the ways i never face
it comes in a gift of love from any hand
it comes in the pat on the back
sometimes it comes in my own tears
knowing i was wrong and can live
knowing i can change to make me
I'm glad I lived this life with regrets
because it make me see me for me
